Yes, we have full hook-up campsites for your RV with electric, water, cable, and sewage. Yes, we have a swimming pool, hot showers, clean restrooms, and a camp store, along with a game room. Yes, yes, yes, we have all the standard amenities and facilities you would expect to find at any other campground. About now your probably thinking well ?"what-the-heck is so unique about this campground then". There are only three words to describe it: LOCATION, LOCATION, and LOCATION. From any of our 150+ sites youre not more than a stones throw distance from "the trail" or "the river". The trail, I mean thee trail, the Great Allegheny Passage, the Cumberland to Pittsburgh Trail, bisects the campground and provides a variety of recreational activities including but not limited to bicycling, jogging, and hiking. The river that parallels the campground is the Youghiogheny. The Youghiogheny River was designated "Pennsylvanias Wild & Scenic River of the year 1998 and provides countless activities such as swimming, fishing, and canoeing. The bulk of our tent sites and several RV sites are located directly on the banks of this wonderful River. The Rivers Edge Campground is under new management for the 2005 season. Thanks to the help of family and friends we have been able to dramatically upgrade and enhance the facilities. With their generous help and efforts we have seen a complete metamorphism take place. Renovations wont stop now though, this is an exciting time and the Rivers Edge is an exciting place. Come visit with us this season?and have a truly unique camping experience.
