Tarry Ho is owned and operated by Jo and Bob Dean who purchased the campground in May of 2000. They brought with them experience in the camping and hospitality business, and are striving to make Tarry Ho its very best yet.
Tarry Ho is large enough to graciously accommodate you, yet small enough to provide a welcoming atmosphere. Upon your arrival expect a friendly greeting and offer of further information and assistance during your stay. Many brochures about the area are available at the office.
The Store is stocked with soda, candy, ice cream, perishables, ice, firewood and a variety of necessities.
Accommodations include campsites, camping along the river, and fully furnished one to three bedroom cottages.

Just 13 miles from the Mount Washington Cog Railroad, we are one of the nearest full service campgrounds to Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast with an elevation of 6,288 feet above sea level, and surrounded by White Mountain National forest. This is not to say you cant get heya from theya! We are easily accessible to all campers and travelers, as you will see on our locator map.
Our campground is situated among a fine variety of tall pine, poplar, maple and birch trees. This is, after all, the land of the tall, pointed pines! We invite you to use us as your home base as you hike, bike, canoe, rock climb, fish, do the White Mountains Attractions, shop, leaf peep or whatever it is you do once in that vacation mode! And when youve done it all, and seen every attraction, enjoy our beautiful perennial gardens, cool off in our sparkling swimming pool, order your firewood delivered to you campsite, relax and kick back and perhaps a moose will pass through!
