Dale Hollow is considered to be one of the cleanest lakes in the country. Its location, nestled in the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains, provides some of the most relaxing scenery available and draws vacationers from across the country to its shores. Area attractions include the famous Stephen Foster Story, My Old Kentucky Home State Park, Makers Mark Distillery, Jim Beam American Outpost Museum and My Old Kentucky Home Dinner Train, Talbot Tavern and other attractions at Bardstown; about an hours drive to the north. To the south is Mammoth Cave, Kentucky Down Under, the Corvette Museum and Plant Tour, Shakertown at South Union and Hobson House, ""Riverview"" in the Bowling Green area. Hodgensville is the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln and his boyhood home. Lexington features the Kentucky Horse Park and Keeneland Race Track. There are always many things to do and see in the Wolf River and Dale Hollow Lake area.
