Last Resort Campground & Cabins

Po Box 777
Jackman Maine, 04945
Phone: (207)668-5091 Established in 1902, The Last Resort offers a perfect "get away from it all" vacation, providing an absolute wilderness atmosphere for the adventurous type who desires to be close to nature and away from the hustle and bustle of city and suburban life. Nestled among our 70 acres of spruce, cedar, pine and birch trees are eight rustic log cabins and four primitive tent sites. They are set on our 1/2 mile shore frontage of Long Pond, a nine mile long lake which is fed by the Moose River on the west and once again becomes the Moose River on the east. The Last Resort cove is shallow, safe for children, and an excellent attraction for the many moose, deer, otters, ospreys, loons, herons, and bald eagles that can be seen from your cabin porch. If you love the outdoors, this is the place to be. We hope to see you at The Last Resort, where relaxing, fishing, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking and wildlife photography are some of the activities certain to make your vacation truly memorable.

Loon Echo Family Campground

P.o. Box 711
Jackman Maine, 04945
Phone: (207) 668-4829 Welcome Campers! Come here to find the wilderness hidden in your heart, on an unspoiled lake, away from crowds. Youre invited to our year-round home, "Loon Echo Family Campground." Named after our special birds, the loons who symbolize the wilderness, we are nestled beside Parlin Lake and stream. Our 15 site campground directly on the lake in a natural treed setting, offers mostly large sites with no hookups. Almost all sites have a view of the lake, stream or acre pond in the stream, that is enticing to wildlife and provides very productive fishing opportunities. You can safely explore the lake by canoe, swim at a remote sandy beach nearby, fly fish or observe wildlife, without encountering crowds or heavy boating traffic. We have avoided the current trend to provide lavish entertainment in a city-like atmosphere. Instead you will find a Smorgasbord of recreational activities, while absorbing the peace and beauty of nature.
