Abol Bridge Campground is a small family type area located on the West Branch of the Penobscot River at Abol Stream. This area has a great deal to offer:
Fishing - Swimming - Canoeing - Whitewater Rafting - Hiking (Appalachian Trail), plus a view of Mt. Katahdin. Deer and Moose sightings are common.
Each Campsite is furnished with a picnic table and fireplace. There is a central building with flush toilets and metered hot showers.
We have a small General Store selling an assortment of groceries, sandwiches, ice, firewood, gasoline and LP Gas.

Antique Cabin ~ Our smallest cabin has one bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, two additional single beds in the living area, a small kitchen setup and bathroom. (Minimum rate per night $120?3 persons or more $40 per person)
Cabin One ~ A three bedroom cabin that sleeps 10 with full kitchen, bathroom, and living room area. (Minimum rate per night $200? 6 persons or more $40 per person)
Cabin Ten ~ A large cabin on Millinocket Lake with full kitchen, fieldstone fireplace and bathroom. This three bedroom cabin sleeps 12-14 people (Minimum rate per night $250? 7 persons or more $40 per person)
Katahdin House ~ Modern post and beam house with cathedral ceilings, oak flooring throughout with four bedrooms and an attached suite that sleeps 15+. This lodge is secluded with large yard and deck. It has a full cooking kitchen, large living room and 2 full baths. (Minimum rate per night $400? 11 persons or more $40 per person)
We ask cabin guests to bring their own sleeping bags and towels. We do not allow pets on our property. All reservations require payment in full at time of booking and are non-refundable. Cabin rates include tax only.

Baxter State Park is located only fifteen minutes away. Hidden Springs Campground offers you a swimming pool, picnic tables, dumping station, fireplaces, free hot showers, firewood and ice available on premises, free coffee at the store and fish stories at the office and local knowledge of Northern Maine. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash and attended to at all times. Pet sitting is available. We have horseshoe pits!!

We are located inside North Maine Woods Katahdin Iron Works/Jo-Mary Multiple Use Management Forest on the South Shore of Upper Jo-Mary Lake.
Our sites are spacious and picturesque, accommodating either tents or trailers.
